Privacy Policy

This privacy policy statement defines which information and personal data we collect, process and use from visitors to our website.

The owner and operator of the website (the “Website”) is SIG Combibloc Group AG (“SIG”). The website is operated for all associated companies of SIG.

Responsible for the personal data collected, processed and used on this website is SIG and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, SIGs associated companies. The protection and security of our customers’ and users’ personal data is important to us. The collection, processing and use takes place within the framework of the applicable data protection law.

Personally identifiable data

Personal data is all data that can be referred to you personally, such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address.

You can use our online presentation without disclosing your personal data. When you access our website, data is stored for technical reasons for security purposes, such as the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you are visiting us, the websites you visit on our website and your IP address. These data could possibly allow identification, but there is no personal data processing. They can be evaluated for statistical purposes, but the individual user as a natural person remains anonymous.

In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you can use if you are interested. To do this, you will usually need to provide further personal data that we use to provide the respective service.

When you contact us by e-mail or via the contact form on our website, your e-mail address and your name and telephone number will be stored by us in order to answer your enquiry.

We use your voluntarily provided data without your separate consent only for the execution of your inquiries or as far as this is otherwise necessary for the establishment, execution or termination of a contract or for the execution of pre-contractual measures with you.

Passing on of personal data to third parties

In some cases, we use external service providers to process your data and, for this purpose, may pass on personal data to these external service providers. These external service providers were carefully selected by us and commissioned in writing. They are subject to our instructions and are regularly monitored by us.

It is possible that personal data may be passed on to companies in countries outside the European Economic Area if, for example, one of our servers is located in a country outside the European Economic Area or one of our service providers is located in a country outside the European Economic Area. These countries may not have data protection laws comparable to those of the European Economic Area. If we disclose your personal information outside the European Economic Area, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that your personal information remains protected in a manner consistent with the level of protection afforded by the European Economic Area.

Insofar as we are obliged to do so by law, court order or on the basis of an enforceable official order, we will forward your personal data to authorized bodies. In addition, we will disclose your personal data to third parties if disclosure is necessary to enforce existing agreements or our rights and claims under a contractual relationship with you or to protect the rights of our customers and those of third parties.

When you use our website, cookies are stored on your computer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive in the browser you use and through which we receive certain information. This information enables us to make our content available to you and to provide you with our services, or to help us customize and continuously improve the use of our services, make them even safer and more attractive for you in the future, and to target advertising more accurately.

If you (i) use our online services (especially surfing our websites) and (ii) have allowed the use of cookies in your browser settings, this means that you want to use our products and services and agree to the use of cookies, services and other technologies.

You can configure your browser settings to suit your preferences and, for example, refuse to accept third party cookies or all cookies. However, please note that you may not be able to use all functions of this website.

Salesforce Pardot

Our website uses Pardot Services, an analysis tool from salesforce. com, inc, The Landmark @ One Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. Pardot Services sets a maximum of two cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of the use of the website. The cookies set are a “Visitor Cookie” and a “Pardot App Session Cookie”. The “Visitor Cookie” generates an identification number which is used to recognize the browser of the website visitor. The identification number is a generated numerical code that has no meaning outside of Pardot Services. The “Pardot App Session Cookie” is only set when a customer logs in to the Pardot App as a user. All cookies only receive the generated number code. We also use Pardot to register for our e-mail service. E-mails sent with the help of Pardot use tracking technologies. We use this information to determine which topics are of interest to you by tracking whether our emails are opened and which links you click on. We will then use this information to improve the e-mails we send you and the services we provide.

If you want to prevent tracking by Pardot, you can do so by changing your browser settings or by adding an extension to your browser. However, this may lead to certain limitations in the functionality and usability of our offer.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (” Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies.

Through the use of cookies within the framework of Google Analytics, your IP address is recorded and usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if you opt-in to IP anonymization on this site, your Google IP address will be truncated from time to time by Member States of the European Union or other signatory states to the EEA Agreement.

The anonymisation takes place within the European Union or within the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

We use the data collected by Google Analytics cookies to track the user behaviour of visitors to our website.

The IP address transmitted by your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be merged with other data by Google.

You can prevent Google Analytics cookies from being stored by changing the settings in your browser software accordingly (for more information, see our cookie explanation). Please note that in this case you may not be able to use the full functionality of the website.
